Subject: City of Greeley Partners with Xcel to Offer Small Business Energy Webinar
Small businesses help make Greeley a great place to live, work, learn and play. City officials are invested in helping the community’s small businesses thrive.
As part of that effort, the City of Greeley partnered with Xcel Energy Partners in Energy to provide a four-part webinar series to help small business owners better understand and manage their energy use. The webinar also covers how to leverage energy efficiency projects to make business more comfortable and inviting for employees and customers.
The series includes these webinars:
Small Offices: March 30 from 2-3:30 p.m.
Hospitality: April 12 from 1:30-3 p.m.
Restaurants and Bars: May 10 from 2-3:30 p.m.
Small and Medium Production Facilities: May 24 from 1:30-3 p.m.
For more information or to register visit: xcelenergycommunities.com/greeleysbr.
During each webinar, energy experts will share typical energy use patterns for that webinar’s subject business type. These presentations will help small business owners better understand what building systems use the most energy. For each top-energy-using system, the webinar will share low-and no-cost opportunities to manage energy use. The webinars will also offer the best opportunities for capital investments and programs available to support these projects. Each webinar will have opportunities for business owners to ask energy experts questions specific to their business throughout the webinar.
This webinar series is part of an ongoing engagement between the City of Greeley and Xcel Energy Partners in Energy. Through this partnership, a stakeholder team of residents, businesses, and city staff developed the Greeley Energy Action Plan to guide Greeley’s energy future. This plan identified three main priorities for the community
Create an affordable and reliable energy future,
Increase residential, commercial, and industrial energy efficiency and alternative energy opportunities,
Improve economic health and stimulate growth.
Greeley City Council adopted the plan in 2019 as part of the Greeley Comprehensive Plan. To learn more about Greely’s Energy Action Plan, other energy related-energy initiatives, and local success stories go to greeleygov.com/EAP.
